Margaret Mead
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. December 16, 1901 – November 15, 1978. An American cultural anthropologist and scientist. She was frequently a featured writer and speaker in the mass media throughout the 1960s and 1970s. She was interested in education, ecology, the women's movement, the bomb, and student uprisings.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
