Pearl S. Buck
Pearl Comfort Sydenstricker was born June 26, 1892 in West Virginia. Her parents were Southern Presbyterian missionaries stationed in China. In 1931, Pearl's second novel, "The Good Earth" was published, becoming the best-selling book in 1931 and 1932. It won the Pulitzer Prize and the Howells Medal in 1935, and was made into a MGM movie in 1937. She was the first American woman to win the Nobel Prize in literature.

The image was drawn on the computer in Photoshop, then made into vector (EPS) art in Adobe Illustrator, where I added color. For this website specifications to upload, it was then converted into RGB JPEG in Adobe Photoshop. The EPS version can be resized without losing any resolution.
